Who am I? Who’s behind all this? …and why is there space carved out of the internet to make these pages available to you?

Well, my name is Ged (pronounced as if it begins with a “J”). I have a background in electronics from a young age, which led to software, which became all too… desk bound. So I found my way into Product Design (as in physical products, not software) and then, finally back to my roots of making. Combining all these things, I would call myself a designer-maker, or a digital fabricator. Whatever title you put on it, there’s a lot of ideas roaming around in my head and this site is a place where I can share them; share some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and some of the little breakthroughs that might help you out as well. I’ve learnt so much from the internet - it’s time to give back.
